First experience was not so good..got truck was given the " price of 59.67" till truck came back, no paperwork was told drop it off and put keys in box..ok so far so good. Drove off lot on to 95 South when the hood of truck swung up towards the windshield..so scary going 60 ..had to literally stop in the middle of the merge on 95 S to have my husband jump out and close it..finished the move and went to drop off truck hour early. All was good..woke up to 2 different charges over 120 $ worth so called for explanation..the rep I spoke with was super rude and wanted video footage of the hood flying up for his "defense and protection " my response was u were not in the truck it was my protection in jeopardy?! I wasn't even looking for a " free truck" , I expressed my concerns for charges that I was not aware I would be getting such as 20 fee for drop off done wrong unbeknownst to me. Rep then placed me on hold for his Mgr, then picked up pretending to be Mgr , asking more about the hood proof and awkward silences till he again got frustrated and rude..another hold..on comes a gentleman who introduces himself as Ryan GM of Uhaul. He was so polite, empathic, sincere and made it right. There was no interrogation of what happened or blamed placed . He turned an ugly situation per previous reps attitude towards me into a professional and amazing one. To the disgruntled defensive rep; there really are honest hard working people who just want what is fair in rendering services and payment. Not everyone is out to tell lies to scam business out of their earned income. Ryan handled this amazingly and gracefully and for that I re-write my review and compliment the man that is very deserving to wear the title General Manager. Ryan is MANAGEMENT MATERIAL. The three stars is because the truck did the job. The engine and transmission were solid, the rear door opened and locked as it should, and the ramp worked. The pickup location was okay, a manned yard and a friendly/helpful counter person. Past that, U-Haul get 0/5.The pricing is stupid. 10 miles down the road and across a state line, the price can be 20-25% less. These trucks are stripped of any amenity. Not even electric door locks. The doors on this “new” truck (77k miles) were so badly adjusted, they had to be slammed, hard, a couple times to completely shut. Of course, the thin fiberglass cab allowed so much road noise, it didn’t matter. Conversations with my driving partner we’re more like screaming matches. Radio? It was unintelligible at max volume on the highway. If you can avoid calling U-Haul, do so at all costs. Wait times start at 45 minutes (even if the auto attendant says 15,

I am very happy to write an excellent review for the U-Haul facility on U.S. 19 and Beacon Woods Blvd. in Hudson, Fl. 34667. This facility is new and I used the large storage shed for approximately 4 months. Not only am I happy with how easy it was to get in and out each time I visited but the Manager, John is a true asset to U-Haul. He showed excellent customer service and was very attentive to my needs, always asking if he could help me further after helping me. I have recommended a friend to this location and she is now a customer. I will continue to recommend this location to anyone needing a temporary housing of their household items. I was in San Diego last week for work. It was a very last minute they needed you there last week type of trip. There were ZERO rental cars available at SAN and nothing within 20 miles of my hotel. But Uhaul, Uhaul was there for me. I took a lyft to the location closest to my hotel. No reservations, didn't bother to call, I walked in said I needed a cargo van for the rest of the week and within 15 minutes I was driving down the road. Not to mention by doing this I saved the customer money on the back end as the total rental with gas was less then $200 for the week!?!?! IN SAN DIEGO!!!!!! As for moving with them. They have been my solid go to for the past couple of decades. I have never had any real issues with them (everyone is allowed an off day). The trucks are normally of good working order and for the most part very clean when you pick them up. I love that most of the larger locations have just about anything you could need for a move. Boxes, tape, mattress bags your all good. The one thing about them is that it's a heavy franchise business model. Which means although you should receive the save service across the board from location to location. The truth of the matter is that it really depends on who the franchise owner is. I have been to outstanding spots that had me coming back whenever I needed to move something. Then there are the locations of which I will never come back to again. So depending on what you have access to locally your millage may very.

I just had the best experience with Shaunta in customer service renting a U Haul truck for Saturday. I had previously had some trouble online and she was able to straighten things out and get me exactly what I needed and quickly. I would give her the highest score on any customer satisfaction survey. Good job!
